Grandma's trip to Cali

After a 2 week stay in California, Mason's Grandma flew back to Wisconsin yesterday. I think that he understood that she went bye bye but he still woke up this morning looking for her. He opened the bathroom door and said, "Gramma?" and went into his room and looked for her there. We reminded him that she went home and he said, "Gramma on airplane". But they had so much fin together while she was here. Originally she planned to come out to help because Dave had finals and Amanda had midterms. But since Amanda dropped classes, she was able to spend some time catching up on errands, cleaning and work while mom played with Mason. While she was here, we all took a trip to the Wild Animal Park just outside of San Diego. Last time we went, Mason was still pretty young and slept a good chunk of the time. He really got into this time, naming the animals and telling us the noises they make. He really liked the monkeys and gorillas and giraffes. Additionally, Mason spent countless hours playing, reading and singing with Gramma. I think they both equally loved spending time together. We all look forward to her return (with papa this time) in May!
